Exhaling only to find McCain
Well, the weeks have flown by and we have been so busy that I havent had time to post much. Wrapping up some rather unpleasant business in Chicago this morning has me feeling rather embullient. Driving home, I got to listen to Rush for most of the show and was aghast at how behind I was in the political scene. McCain?? What did the base do to deserve this? The author of McCain Feingold, the “Maverick”, the pro-amnesty Senator? Yes indeed, After Romney dropped out, the delegates were his.
People like myself are left with a conundrum-do we vote for the guy we at least trust with National Security, knowing full well that by the end of his term we will be a third world nation, but at least we werent nuked? Or do we stay home to send a message? Who knows? All I know is Obama appears unbeatable at this point. The guy has zero qualifications for the Oval Office, much less the governors mansion, yet he is the candidate of “Hope”, of “Change”.
The Beast on the other hand, has made her disdain and mistrust of the military well known. At the very least, a pull out of the Mid East would happen under her, while trading that funding for some Cuban style health debacle at the expense of National Security. Further, her stand on guns, abortion and her general unlikeablity alienate her from any middle or independent voters. She will get desperate soon, and the Clinton Political machine will go full throttle.
The best I can hope for is that the Hillary and Obama race gets so ugly, that it turns everyone off allowing McCain to win. Thats the BEST I can hope for-someone pretending to be a Republican in the White House..
