WIESBADEN, Germany (Reuters) – President Vladimir Putin said on Monday he will visit Iran to discuss its nuclear program despite a reported assassination plot against him.

“Of course I am going to Iran,” Putin told a news conference after talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. “If you react to various threats and recommendations of the security services, then you should sit at home”.

Not to mention the fact he still has a lot of military power in the Crimea, near Iran’s border. There are a couple Former Soviet States in between the Sov, er the Russians and Iran. But I dont think that would stop the Russians from going to war, marching through and staging in those countries, with Iran over whacking Putin.
