N Korea agrees nuclear deadline

Posted in Uncategorized by Patrick Truax on October 3, 2007

North Korea has agreed to disable its main nuclear reactor and give complete details of its nuclear programme by 31 December, Chinese officials say.

Again, one needs a salt shaker. I wish I had the pic of Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown..

Whats in it for China? Prestige on a Diplomatic front? It doesnt make a difference, I guess. A year from now the reactor will be going full steam, and all the promises made will be broken. Kim does not want rapproachment with the West. Why do we keep trying?

China WILL be the sphere of influence in Asia. Thats whats in it for them. When it fails, they can can stage exercises right on the DPRK border, which is quite close to the Shenyand Military District Headquarters.
