Dont Even Think About It

Well, it has been a busy week off here at Artorius, and there is much to report. We took the week off to regroup and re-think strategy, as well as studying the opposition for anything new, or even something may have proved us wrong in some of our positions. There was some debate about that aspect of the hiatus, as we found nothing but enhancement to our views out of the mouths of the usual suspects. But we really did want to re-examine some of our positions.

Those who are paying attention to what goes on in congress and the White House, know that the Socialized Medicine debate is still raging, and show no signs of abating. There is no way this won’t force some kind of conclusion, like the “Nuclear Option”, or a midnight executive order, that is how convoluted the issue is. Since they will be forced, a lot of people from all walks of life are going to get their feelings hurt. The intensity in which the debate has raged and the passionate testimonials and tributes from both sides made us wonder if maybe there wasn’t something to ObamaCare, PelosiCare, or the Care du Jour. Or maybe our rhetoric might have been out of line, or worse, rooted in untruths. Our week’s scrutiny just enhanced our belief; Government Run Health Care is a non starter. Yes, Health Care needs to be fixed, but our position remains the same; the same Government who brought us the Transportation Security Administration, should be kept as far away from our families medical records as physically possible.

But as we said, it was a busy hiatus for news, so let’s start with the “Sky is Falling Department”. Yep, algore is back in the news claiming all kinds of absurdity that anyone with a High School education in the sciences would question. The American Thinker Blog, in a piece titled Gore Gone Wild: Predicts 220 Foot Sea Level Rise in 10 years Captain Carbon Credit even throws a new term at us, Climate Refugee. I laughed out loud when I read it, but one the interns, in a snarky comment about my age, questioned which cave I lived in, as the term was coined some time ago. Not in our circles, or anyone’s with a lick of common sense, I countered. It turns out, I’m so out of touch, that the UN has actually chided algore on his use of the term and prefers instead to refer to those displaced by 220 foot rising seas in 10 years as “Environmentally Induced Migrants”. Saints preserve us.

Co-Conspirators in Treasonous Power

The Goblins of Congress, Pelosi and Reid, this week are getting together to discuss reconciling the PelosiCare bill with ReidObamaBaucusCare. Between the 477 different bills and ideas, there is NO WAY reconciliation can even be considered unless Nancy gets her Socialized Medicine. The Senate bills have a whole bunch silly alternatives to Government Run Health Care, most notably a “trigger” in case benchmarks aren’t met, that will force Government Run Health Care. We don’t claim to have the answers to the issue, but we are fairly certain these two don’t. Why should they? It is not their money, and any decision they make doesn’t affect them; PelosiObamaBaucusReidCare will not apply to them. If there were ever two folks who needed to have their citizenship stripped and exiled it is these two criminals. Joe Lieberman, the Senate’s other Maverick (except the Left hates this particular one for some reason; they loved McCain), has stated he will join the GOP in a filibuster against PelosiReidObamaBauscusCare. The Democrats trial balloon response? A DNC connected blogger appeared on Rachel Maddow’s show (thereby doubling her viewership) said the Dems have the power to close down the Submarine Base at Groton, CT. This is what passes as civil discourse in a Dem controlled congress; threatening National Security and our troops to punish a legislator for not drinking the ObamaReidPelosiBaucusCare kool aid.

Lastly, flu shots and the H1N1 vaccine are back en vogue. Well, en vogue for those who aren’t being “advised strongly” to get vaccinated. We have learned that manufacturers wont vaccinate their own kids, and have found videos of other scientists saying stay away from it. There have also been documented cases of bad side effects from the vaccine. Granted it was rushed to production when cases started appearing, but since the malady had proven treatable and manageable by most standards, we wonder if we should let the virus burn itself out. Yes, we have considered mutation rates, but consider this; where did the vaccine come from? In other words, is any one at least curious as to how the vaccine came about so quickly? There is another rumor, as yet unconfirmed by State Run Media, that the virus is man made, and might have escaped from a lab. It would certainly explain the speed in which the vaccine came about.

This All Hallows Eve will bring out all kinds of creepy critters, but we think the scariest denizens of this Republic live and work in Washington, DC.
